If you want a lower force than 48 kg on each pedal, the holes on the shoe
plate can be drilled through the plate.
Depending on the hole size and number the force can be adjusted down to 20 kg.

It is easy to change the bearings if neccesary.
If you have dismantled the pedal, put it on some thick iron when you
tighten the screws, the pole shoes will then be perfectly aligned.
